Laser light can be used in medicine for the selective treatment of an area on the skin or in tissue. The tissue components absorb light with different wavelengths to a greater or lesser extent, resulting in the desired effect on the affected area. At the same time, the effects on the surrounding tissue remain minimal. In dermatology, there are a variety of different laser and IPL systems for different treatment needs. In addition to applications for skin rejuvenation and tightening or the removal of scars, warts or annoying skin changes, innovative laser technologies are also used for permanent hair removal.
